It’s a challenging time for many high streets – with the rise in digital shopping (of which we’re a fan, obviously), brick-and-mortar retail premises have to do more to entice shoppers into towns. The good news is that, if they are lucky, they are supported by teams within the local authority, whose job it is to ensure that their town centres receive the visitors they deserve.
One of our local towns, Leamington Spa, is looked after by one such team – and they approached us to build an app to support their 2018 Christmas campaign, Spa’rkle. This was a local rewards system where shoppers built up points in participating retailers within the town – every point gained, increased customers opportunity to win prizes. Previously the whole system was paper-based – our new app made it so much easier to take part, and provided the retailers and BID Leamington with very valuable information and data on the customers.
Good design brings people together.
